A Day at the Beach

So I hope you and your family had an awesome Christmas! It's hard to believe that it has come and gone and we are on to a new year! 2008 flew by but has been a great!

Christmas Day came and went, so Philip and I and the family came down to spend a few days at Atlantic Beach to get way from the hustle and bustle of Raleigh. We've mostly been relaxing, definitely eating, and checking out the cute local shops and surf shops. We have been totally blessed with gorgeous weather... there were people walking around in shorts and t-shirts today and people laying out in bathingsuits (a bit extreme... but I mean it was THAT warm today.) Philip and I have been for walks on the beach at sunset for the past two nights... they were both absolutely gorgeous sunsets! Mom, Kelle, Ashley, Brittney Grace and I did a little shopping this morning while Philip, Dad, Burton and Will went to play the front 9 holes at the golf course... then Philip and I went down to Beaufort to check out some of the shops, look at the boats and grab some lunch. We also saw one of the wild horses on the island... so cool!

(this is a picture of the horse if you can't tell... he was a little far away)

So last but not least, this was Tiffany's first trip to the beach EVER so she was a whole lot more excited about it than I thought she'd be. She literally left her mark (several times... and NO i don't mean peeing... ha!) digging holes on the beach! She would have played out there for hours and not got tired of it!

Until next time! :) ~ The Browns

Hot Dogs Roasting on an Open Fire

This weekend was a blast! Philip and I had the treat of hosting some special guests up to the lake house for a pre-Christmas celebration weekend of fun (and relaxation). We had an awesome bonfire on Saturday night (thanks to Philip & Fox being determined to keep it lit)... so we cooked our hot dogs for dinner and yummy smores afterwards. The guys played so many games of football and basketball I lost count... and the girls just sat around chit chatting and playing card games. It was a fun time had by all and I can't wait to do it again!

Hello Moon

If you didn't notice tonight... the moon is extra magnificent! I was talking to Dad about how pretty it is and he said it's a special moon... it's 75% larger tonight than it normally is. Philip and I are up at the lake getting ready for some super fun guests tomorrow and it's extra beautiful on the water.

I took some pictures for your viewing pleasure... but go outside and look at it yourself!
